Here is a thing my younger self would never thought I would say: I am a fitness instructor and I love it. I teach yoga and cycling classes. If I can do this fitness thing anyone can! 

I found fitness later in life. I never played a sport, took dance classes or tried martial arts. I barely participated in PE at school. I am not at all competitive. I was never interested making a ball fit into a hole, pocket, basket, glove, hoop, or lane…

However, yoga feels so good in the body that it was easy for me to stick with a practice. As most of us do, I came to yoga as a form of movement I felt I could accomplish, after all it does not involve putting sports balls in places and winning or losing. 

I have fallen off regular practice over the last 20 years but I always come back to my mat. It’s where my body makes sense. I find my sense of self and well-being in practice. When people started asking about my practice I, of course, wanted to show them this yoga thing. Thus I became a teacher. My classes are playful, laid back, with a touch of fire. I will challenge you, then we will rest. We will have fun, laugh, breath and move. 

When I’m not on my mat, I also teach indoor cycle classes. I am a certified instructor for Les Mills RPM & Spinning. I also teach Les Mills Body Flow (yoga based class).
