Karen worked as a litigation attorney in London, England for 12 years before starting a new life in the U.S. teaching yoga and launching a business. Her high-stress desk-bound days in the law actually brought her to the yoga mat in an attempt to improve her posture and state of mind. After leaving her first class in tears of frustration—not being naturally flexible in any respect—the bug eventually bit her and yoga became a huge part of her life.
Karen is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and completed her 200 Hours training in early 2015 with Melissa Martinez-Chauvin. She has practiced yoga all over the globe and learned from some of the most respected and experienced yogis in the world. However, she finds the best teachers to be the students who come to her classes and show up for their own practice, wherever they are in their journey. Karen is passionate about working with those who feel they are neither bendy nor focused enough to do yoga, having started from that place herself and seen the benefits in her own body and life.
