As Swami Bua, one of my early teachers said at every class in his New York City studio, “Begin the day with love, live the day with love, and end the day with love.” That has inspired me in my practice. Daily asana practice became my way of finding balance in my body and mind in the midst of the chaos that is the human condition. Occasionally I would try to share my practice with others, but I felt I didn’t fully understand the wider internal perspective of the body of yoga. Rishi Yoga and the Vira Bhava Yoga Teacher Training changed that. Now I teach as a way of showing others how to tune into the wisdom of their bodies, as a way of showing people the path to their own empowerment, and in order to deepen my own understanding. It is the next step in the practice of love.

I teach as a way of showing others how to tune into the wisdom of their bodies.
