2:00-4:30 pm

$40 per person
Space is limited to 20 participants; please register early

The intention of this workshop is to create the space for you to not only relieve tension and stress, but also to facilitate a profound relaxation and healing experience in mind, body and soul.

We will open with a centering and clearing pranayama practice, a heart and throat opening mantra, a thoughtful intention and an introspective meditation. In the therapeutic aspect of this workshop Yoga therapy balls will be used to loosen connective tissue, heal muscle and improve posture. Restorative Yoga will follow to find calm and rejuvenation for the mind, giving time and space for the nervous system to shift into repair. The healing energy of Reiki will be offered to facilitate the open flow of life energy, bringing soothing to the soul. And, to complete the whole experience, therapeutic grade essential oils will be offered to support and deepen the nourishing and healing.

There will also be a gift offering for 1 workshop participant, selected at random, of 2 samples of therapeutic grade essential oils.

The workshop will be led by Suzanne Even who has been leading group and private Yoga classes and offering workshops since 2012. She has completed 280 hours of Registered Yoga Teacher Trainings along with numerous continuing education hours. Suzanne has a B.S. degree in Health and Human Science and is a Certified Health Coach and Reiki practitioner.

200-hour Yoga Teacher Training

August 2019 to February 2020

Please join Meg and Lauri for a Q&A session about the 200-hour yoga teacher training/intensive on Thursday, May 9, 7:00-8:00 pm  at Rishi Yoga. The early bird pricing for this training ends on May 15 and there are only four spots available.

We are overjoyed to be teaming up again with Alaya Yoga School to offer a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Rishi Yoga from August 2019 to February 2020.

This training/intensive, led by Meg McCraken and assisted by Lauri Glenn, will be divided into three one-week sessions (August 17-23, November 9-15 and February 1-7) and is specifically designed to help you integrate the teachings into your everyday life.

As you may know, especially if you have been practicing with us for a while, we only offer what we consider to be the highest quality trainings and workshops, and are therefore very selective in types of events we decide to offer and people we partner with. (In short, we go for quality over quantity.) Meg and Lauri are true yoga scholars and more importantly, genuinely compassionate, caring and kind teachers who walk their talk and, by authentically living their yoga, inspire their students to do the same.

For detailed information about the training, including registration, as well as information about Meg and Lauri, please visit the Alaya Yoga School event page.

108 Sun Salutations

Held four times a year.
Contact us to learn more.
As we welcome a new season, we also remember and honor that which never changes, which is really the true purpose of this practice. We will flow through nine rounds of 12 sun salutations, with an intention/dedication before each round and a short break between the rounds. This is a physically challenging but extremely rewarding and mind calming practice. Modifications to the traditional series A sun salutation as well as less intense variations will be offered before we start, and you are welcome to use any variation or a mix of sun salutation styles. The goal is not to complete 108 sun salutations — the goal is the practice itself.
